‘InshaAllah you are going to be an MP’ – Sadiq Qayem to Hannan Masud

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) joint chief organizer and MP candidate Abdul Hannan Masud paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice President (VP) Sadiq Qayem. Sadiq Qayem’s warm remarks at the beginning of the meeting sparked discussions in the political arena.
Hannan Masud announced the meeting in a post on her verified Facebook account on Saturday (January 10) night. Sharing a photo with the post, she wrote that this was her first meeting with DUCSU VP Sadiq Qayem.
According to Hannan Masud, Sadiq Qayem addressed her with a smile at the beginning of the meeting, “Hannan! From what I hear about the people of Hatiyar, InshaAllah you are going to be an MP.” He described the comment as a reflection of optimism and inspiration.
In a Facebook post, Hannan Masud also said that he had brought a gift as a courtesy visit. He also highlighted his determination to bring positive change in the country's politics and his commitment to move forward together to do something new.
