Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's central Majlish-e-Shura member and former MP from Chapainawabganj-3 (Sadar) constituency Latifur Rahman has said that those who join Jamaat-e-Islami from Awami League or BNP will be taken all responsibilities by the party.
On Tuesday (December 30) afternoon, at a courtyard meeting in Phatapara Madanmor area of Charbaghdanga Union of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila, he said, "Change is coming to the Bangladesh of the future. You will come to our party, we will take all your responsibilities. Jail, Nawabganj police station—we will take any responsibility, Insha Allah."
Latifur Rahman further said, “A party made by humans cannot be formed without Allah. Allah will take account of what will be done. The new Jamaat is not like the previous Jamaat, it is much stronger now. Those who used to be in the Awami League have now joined Jamaat, the police are being sent to their homes. We have said, do not interfere like this.”
He further mentioned that Jamaat is open to all communities—“Islam is not only for Muslims, the Quran came for mankind. We have given Hindu candidates, they are joining in droves. Now people want to see Jamaat.”
