Barrister Jaima Rahman, daughter of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, has been registered as a voter today. She entered the election training building with her mother Dr. Zubaida Rahman at 12:26 pm and left at 12:45 pm, the Election Commission said.
Earlier, Dr. Zubaida Rahman was included in the national voter list on June 23. She has already received a smart National Identity Card (NID).
Meanwhile, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has also applied online to get an NID. He will receive his NID within 24 hours of the completion of voter registration, said NID Director General ASM Humayun Kabir.
It is worth noting that Tarique Rahman returned to the country with his family from the UK on December 25 after ending a long 17-year exile.
