The state-of-the-art 'President Resort', built at a cost of around 100 crore taka, stands like an island around a pond in about 3000 acres (30 acres) of Howre Harun, near Hossainpur village in Mithamain, Kishoreganj. Launched on September 3, 2021, the resort has 40 air-conditioned rooms (suites) in 20 double-storey cottages, restaurant, party center, children's game zone and watch tower. Daily rent of each suite is 6 thousand to 28 thousand taka.

It is known that this resort was inaugurated on September 3, 2021. There is a large lake in the middle of the resort area. In the middle is the helipad. Several influential ministers, secretaries and senior police officers of the previous government and former local parliamentarians, President's son Rezwan Ahmed Taufiq and prominent figures of the country including actors and actresses and Harun participated in the inauguration. The owner of this huge establishment is Haroon Aur Rashid, the former head of DB. The managing director of the resort is his younger brother Dr. Shahriar.

Harun is said to have acquired three to four hundred acres of farmers' land outside the resort for his agro farm. It is alleged that he occupied hundreds of acres of land last year by damming it. During the last dry season, under the leadership of Harun's younger brother Shahriar, he constructed a mud dam in an area of ​​several kilometers from Hossainpur in Mithamin to Vatshala in Ashtagram.
Farmers' land is being cut and soil is being dumped to build dams. But the dam was not completed due to monsoons.

Besides, a three-storied huge flat was found in the name of his family members in Nilganj Road, Ukilpara area of ​​Kishoreganj district city.

The flat in Ukilpara was constructed 7 years ago but neither Haroon nor any of his relatives lived there, the flat was occupied by a tenant. The tenants left the house after former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned on August 5. Going to the surface, it can be seen that the house is locked.

Haroon Or Rashid was born in Hossainpur village of Mithamain Upazila of Kishoreganj. His father is late Abdul Hasim and mother Jahura Khatun. Father was a farmer by profession.

Harun took financial support from the people of the area while studying at the university due to family poverty. In 1993-94 session, after joining Dhaka University, he got involved in Chhatra League politics. Between 1999-2000, Salsabil took a job as a bus ticket checker. Harun created his father's freedom fighter certificate with the help of former president Abdul Hamid by creating fake documents. By using that, he got a police job in BCS under the freedom fighter quota. He was fired from his job due to indiscipline during training in Sarda. After that he worked in Mercantile Bank. Later, when the Awami League government came to power, Harun got his police job back because of the Chhatra League.

Harun's brother Doctor Shahriar is in charge of managing the President Resort in Mithamain. Another brother Mohammad Zillur Rahman (Zia) is working as ASI in Narcotics Control Directorate of Police.

Former DB chief Haroon Aur Rashid's mobile phone was not available for comment on the complaint. His brother, President Resort and Director of Agro Farm Dr. ABM Shahriar's phone is also switched off.
