A-League will not exist if there is a counter-coup: Sarjis Alam

Sarjis Alam, one of the co-ordinators of Anti-Discrimination Student Andolan, has warned that if Awami League tries to make a counter-coup in the country again, they will not exist.
He gave this warning while attending the Residency program at Shahbagh in the capital on Thursday, August 15 at 11:30 am.
Sarjis Alam said, "After the anti-discrimination student movement, the mass uprising of the students, there was no need for us to come to the streets." But a cabal and the cronies of fascism are still plotting. The students again took to the streets to prevent various miscreants trying to loot the Faida. We don't want any of our siblings to be inconvenienced by going down our street. But when the country is in crisis, we have to take to the streets even if it is difficult. Because if the country is damaged at the end of the day then we all will be damaged. From that place, we, the students, came down to the streets again today.
In response to a question about the four phases of the anti-discrimination student movement, he said, "We have organized the Resistance Week program. From this place we are getting news from various quarters that they are planning a counter-coup with some of their friends Satan. If they have any dirty plans from their place, we have given the students this Resistance Week program to counter them.
He also said that we believe that the current interim government of the country is a student government. We will press them on our demands. So we also believe that they have that goodwill. They will accept our demands in quick time. We have confidence in this government. We trust that the interim government will do them. But if we see any negligence in them, then we say, just as we can put them on that mattress, we can also take them down. We warn them, we know how much time it takes to do any work. This work must be done within that time. If not, the students will speak against them again from the stage of Shahbagh in the whole of Bangladesh.
