The newly appointed Acting Justice Ashfaqul Islam has been rejected by the anti-discrimination student movement. They also demanded that Syed Refat Ahmed be appointed as the Chief Justice instead.
A message sent by the coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement Hasnat Abdullah on Saturday (August 10) afternoon informed this.
The message says that the newly appointed Acting Justice Ashfaqul Islam is a friend of fascism, who is being rejected by the students-citizens. Syed Rifat Hossain should be appointed Chief Justice by 6 pm without delay.
It is also said that all the student citizens of Dhaka are being called to march in the education square in front of the High Court.
