This time 700 Metro Rail employees are on strike for 6-point demand

More than 700 employees of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) have announced a complete strike to meet six-point demands to eliminate injustice and discrimination.
They made these demands in a human chain in front of Uttara depot of Metrorail on Thursday (August 8). Employees from 10th to 20th grade level participated in the human bond.
Their demands are:
* Uniform pay structure in all grades at 2.3 times the National Pay Scale-2015 with arrears from the date of joining;
* Central Provident Fund (CPF) benefits with dues shall be paid from the date of joining service;
* Promotion system should be introduced in coordination with all other government owned companies and metro systems of other countries and service rules with all types of allowances should be given in a timely manner.
* To be made permanent at the end of apprenticeship; Transport system with adequate security should be ensured at all places including stations and depots;
* Autocratic attitude and discriminatory behavior and personal outbursts should not be allowed in the workplace.
