Mirpur’s Radda Clinic Declared Free from Occupation; Original Signboard Reinstalled

The Radda MCH-FP Center in Mirpur has been declared free from occupation, and the institution's original signboard has been reinstalled. Healthcare services at the clinic have continued despite the attack and vandalism.

On Monday morning (September 28), clinic personnel removed the signboard that had been put up there and reinstalled their own. Repair work on the damaged sections has also commenced. Staff members are providing services inside while simultaneously conducting necessary operations from chairs and tables set up outside.

Earlier, on the night of September 24, the Radda Clinic in Mirpur Section-1 was subjected to an attack, looting, and vandalism. Clinic authorities alleged that following the attack, a signboard bearing the name "Samamana Dokandar Samabay Samity Limited" (Like-minded Shopkeepers' Cooperative Society Ltd.) had been installed at the site.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police reported the arrest of nine individuals and the recovery of two truckloads of looted goods. Following the incident, Jahangir Alam, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shah Ali Police Station, was withdrawn from his post.
