The sky has been cloudy in various parts of the country, including the capital Dhaka, since Wednesday morning. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a low pressure forming in the Bay of Bengal, due to which the rainfall trend may increase in various parts of the country from next Thursday.
According to the information of the weather officials, even if low pressure is formed, its effect is not felt immediately. Usually, its effect starts to become clear within a few hours to a day. Therefore, although there was isolated light rain on Wednesday, the amount of rain may increase slightly in various parts of the country from Thursday.
The forecast says that light rain may occur in many places, including the capital, in the early part of the day and there is a possibility of a slight increase in the rainfall trend in the afternoon or evening. However, the risk of heavy rain is relatively low this time.
According to the information of the Meteorological Department, significant rainfall has occurred in various parts of the country due to the activation of monsoon winds and the effect of low pressure formed in the sea at the beginning of this month. Heavy rain was recorded in several areas, especially in Chittagong and Sylhet. The agency said that a large part of the monthly total rainfall has been completed in the first half of July.
Meteorologists believe that due to the influence of the new low pressure, rainfall may first start in the coastal and southern parts of the country. Later, it is likely to gradually spread to other regions. However, this rainfall is unlikely to last for a long time.
Meanwhile, the temperature in different parts of the country has increased slightly due to the decrease in the amount of rainfall in the last few days. The maximum temperature in the capital Dhaka has also reached close to 34 degrees Celsius. However, the Meteorological Department said that the temperature is not likely to increase significantly on Wednesday.
Experts said that the extent of the impact of the low pressure will be determined depending on the weather conditions in the next few days. Therefore, it is advised to follow the latest weather bulletin.
