Doa-Milad Mahfil in memory of those killed in the quota reform movement
Prayers and Milad mahfil have been organized at Central Jame Masjid of Jagannath University to pray for the souls of those killed in the quota reform movement across the country.
This doa mahfil was held on Tuesday (August 6) at the university's central Jame Masjid after Zohr prayers.
At that time, Professor Raich Uddin of the Islamic Studies Department said that after 16 long years, our country has become independent from the hands of oppression. We thank Allah for saving us from the oppressors. And this Milad Mahfil has been organized by seeking forgiveness of the souls of those who were martyred fighting against this oppression.

Shahriar, a student of Bangla department, said that our country has been going through anarchy and oppression for a long time. Alhamdulillah Thanks a million to Almighty Allah for yesterday (Monday) we got rid of everything. We will never forget the contribution of the people who died to protect us from this oppression. May Allah grant them the highest place in Paradise.
Earlier on this day at 10 am, an emergency meeting of Jabir's pro-BNP teachers' organization Sada Dal was held on the recent changed situation of the country and what to do.
It was presided over by the president of the party, Professor Dr. Mosharraf Hossain and moderated by General Secretary Professor Dr. Md. Raich Uddin.
In the meeting, everyone involved in the anti-discrimination student movement was thanked. After the victory of the movement, deep concern was expressed over various disorderly activities. All are urged to refrain from all destructive activities. A call was made to guard the houses of dissidents and especially the minority communities so that no one could question this historic victory. Jagannath University is urged to maintain unity and solidarity in all areas. The determination to build a new Bangladesh is expressed by setting an example of love instead of revenge.
In the meeting, every member of the white party was urged to be vigilant in protecting the overall safety and honor of the teaching society of Jagannath University.
