Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun has assured logical solutions to the various problems and demands raised by the policemen.
The IGP said this in a video message sent from an unknown location on Tuesday (August 6) afternoon.
He said, I pray for the forgiveness of the souls of the members of the Bangladesh Police who sacrificed their lives professionally to protect the lives and property of the people. All kinds of treatment will be ensured for those who are injured in different places.
The IGP said, I humbly request all political leaders and leaders of anti-discrimination student organizations to take measures to prevent attacks on policemen and police establishments. Along with this, the patriotic army is cooperating with us tirelessly to ensure the security of the police installations.
The IGP also said, I specially request all the members of Bangladesh Police to perform their duties with strong morale and maintain their safety. I hope that with everyone's cooperation, the situation will become normal soon. May Allah help us, Ameen.
