The Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman visited parents' graves after returning home after foreign tour.

She arrived in Dhaka around 8 pm on Friday after completing her foreign tour at the invitation of the government of Malaysia and China. After successfully completing the tour, the next day, she paid tribute to the graves of her father, martyred President Ziaur Rahman and mother, Khaleda Zia, at Zia Udyan in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital.

On Saturday afternoon, she went to the graveyard and laid wreaths. Then, she participated in the recitation of the holy Fatiha, prayers and supplications.

Advisors and officials from various levels of the government were present with her at the time.

Earlier, it is said that she was welcomed upon her arrival at the airport. It is also known from the relevant sources that various diplomatic and developmental issues were discussed during the visit.

This incident of going beyond the scheduled program and paying homage to her parents' graves is being seen as a reflection of political and personal emotions.
