The Home Minister has said that the trial of the case filed in the murder of child Ramisa in the capital's Pallabi can be completed within the next five to seven days. At the same time, he said that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the maximum punishment for the criminals.

In a briefing on Sunday (May 24) afternoon, he said that the process of submitting the charge sheet of the case to the court is being completed. He expressed hope that there is a plan to complete the trial process quickly through the special court.

He also said that it was possible to arrest the main accused within a short time after the incident. For the sake of the investigation, DNA tests, autopsy and other important evidence have been collected and analyzed quickly. He also said that the investigation report has been prepared based on this information.

The Home Minister indicated that the issue of canceling the special court's vacation may also be considered if necessary to ensure a speedy trial.

Meanwhile, the main accused in the case, Sohel Rana and his wife, Swapna Akhtar, have been produced in court. Sources related to the investigation said that various important reports of the case have been completed on priority basis.

According to the officials concerned, various evidence, including the results of the DNA test, can play a role as important evidence in the case in the court.

It is worth noting that the body of eight-year-old Ramisa was recovered from a house in Pallavi in ​​the capital last week. The incident sparked widespread discussion across the country.
