After Sheikh Hasina's escape in the mass uprising, the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that BNP started development work. He said that BNP could not work during Hasina's regime, but development activities have started since her escape. He said these things at an election rally at Chandipur High School ground in Thakurgaon-1 constituency on Thursday (January 29).
Mirza Fakhrul said that earlier, people used to earn 100 taka, now earning 200 taka is called development - this is not real development. If employment is created, there will be real development of people. If agriculture improves, the country will also move forward, he also commented.
Regarding the upcoming elections, the BNP Secretary General said that if the right decision is not taken, the nation will make mistakes again. He claimed that BNP will form the government and Tarique Rahman will be the Prime Minister. He said, Tarique Rahman was not allowed to come to the country for 18 years, but the day he returned home, it was clear in the public gathering.
Highlighting the future plans of BNP, Mirza Fakhrul said, Tarique Rahman has a clear development plan. This includes education and healthcare at a fair price through family cards, obtaining fertilizers and seeds through agricultural cards, and creating massive employment. At the same time, criticizing Jamaat, he said, the collaborators of the Pakistani army in 1971 should first apologize, and then ask for votes.
