Long wait ends, Tarique Rahman finally in Dhaka

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has arrived in Dhaka after a long wait. The plane carrying him landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:40 am on Thursday (December 25).
Earlier, the same plane landed at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet at 9:55 am. After a ground turnaround of about an hour in Sylhet, the flight started its journey for Dhaka at 11:04 am.
The flight carrying Tarique Rahman left for Dhaka at around 12:15 am on Wednesday. He is accompanied on this journey by his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman and daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman. About 50 BNP leaders and activists have come to Bangladesh on the same flight.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has returned home after almost 17 years. A bulletproof vehicle has already reached the airport to carry him. The car entered Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport shortly before 7 am. He will participate in various programs from the airport in this car.
Tarique Rahman arrived at London's Heathrow International Airport at 10:15 pm Bangladesh time on Wednesday (December 24). Leaders and activists of the UK BNP were present with him at that time.
BNP sources said that after the formalities at the VIP lounge 'Rajnigandha' of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Tarique Rahman will go to the reception stage built in the 300-foot area by Kuril road. There he will deliver a short speech and stay until 3:40 pm.
Later, Tarique Rahman will go directly to Evercare Hospital from the 300-foot area. There, he will stay for about an hour from 4:10 pm by the side of his mother and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment. After leaving the hospital, he will go to 'Firoza', residence number 196, Gulshan Avenue.
