Azad's wife Piya, who died in the bearing pad accident, gets a job in Metrorail

Airin Akhter Piya, the wife of Abul Kalam Azad, who died in the bearing pad accident in Dhaka Metrorail, will get a job as a computer operator. Later, when Piya completes her graduation, she will be appointed as an officer.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Managing Director Faruk Ahmed said that Airin Akhter Piya will first be appointed as a computer operator and later be promoted to the officer position.
It is worth noting that Abul Kalam was killed when the bearing pad of pillar number 433 of the Metrorail suddenly came off and fell down in the Farmgate area on Sunday afternoon. On the day of the accident, it was announced that the family of the deceased would be given Tk 5 lakh compensation and another family member would be provided with a job in the Metrorail, said Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan, Advisor to the Ministry of Road Transport, Bridges and Railways.
