Air Force training aircraft crashes: One body recovered

A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft has crashed in the capital's Uttara area. The Fire Service has recovered one body from the crash site. Khaleda Yasmin, duty officer at the control room of the Fire Service headquarters, confirmed the matter on Monday (July 21) afternoon. She said, "The aircraft crashed on the Milestone College campus in Uttara. One body has been recovered from the scene. Our rescue operations are still ongoing."
Earlier, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that an F-7 BGI model training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force took off at 1:06 pm today and crashed shortly after. It is not yet known whether the aircraft was on a training mission alone or the condition of the pilot.
Fire Service and defense force members are conducting rescue and security operations at the scene. There is a possibility of forming an investigation committee to uncover the cause of the accident.
This incident has spread concern among the general public in the Uttara area.
