Five youth died after being hit by a train in Raipura Upazila of Narsingdi. The incident took place in the Kamalpur area of Methikanda railway station of the upazila at around 5:30 am on Monday. Later, the dismembered bodies were recovered by the railway police.
The names of the five youths who died were not initially known. According to the railway police, five youths fell from the roof of the Dhaka mail train leaving Chittagong and died after being cut by the train.
Deputy Inspector of Narsingdi Railway Police Outpost (in charge). Shahidullah said that four of the five dead were between 18 and 20 years old. The age of the other deceased youth is believed to be more than 20 years. Attempts are being made to identify the deceased youths.
