Noting that the world is currently under the pressure of various crises, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Principal Advisor to the Interim Government, said, we must leave behind a prosperous, resilient, green and sustainable world for the next generation; one that will be formed by a combination of knowledge, innovation and technology and ensure universal sustainability for the future. The Principal Advisor said this in his speech at the Arthana Summit held in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday.
He said, we should not leave behind the youth of today, who will inherit this planet. I myself have seen the transformative power of civic awakening among the youth for the inclusion and empowerment of the people.
Earlier, Professor Muhammad Yunus was given a red carpet welcome upon his arrival in Qatar. He was officially welcomed by the Chief of Protocol and Ambassador of the Government of Qatar, Ibrahim Fakhru.
The Chief Advisor's Press Wing said that Professor Yunus is on this visit at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. In addition to participating in the summit, he is likely to have an important meeting with the Emir of Qatar.
