Information Advisor Nahid Islam said in a post on his verified Facebook profile on Tuesday (February 10) night that a plan has been made to provide a one-time payment to the July martyrs' families as well as monthly allowances and jobs. However, this job will not be considered as a new quota.
Nahid Islam mentioned that any working member of the martyrs' family will be given a job in a government, semi-government or private institution based on merit for a one-time basis. However, no competitive examination will be applicable for this job.
He further added in the post that monthly allowances have been arranged for those who were injured in the July coup and became disabled for life. Most of these injured are young people who will never be able to work again and will undergo long-term treatment.
Nahid Islam said, “It was our commitment and the state’s responsibility to rehabilitate the families of the martyrs and those seriously injured in the July coup and ensure their future.” He added, “Thousands of families have been left destitute as a result of participating in this coup, it is not possible to compensate for their losses, but they only want respect and dignity.”
