Today, metro rail movement in the capital has become normal after more than an hour. Metro rail movement was temporarily stopped due to a mechanical fault at Uttara North station. However, Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited Managing Director Mohammad Abdur Rouf said on Saturday afternoon that metro rail movement has resumed.
Mohammad Abdur Rouf said that metro rail movement was disrupted from 1:32 pm to 2:50 pm due to a mechanical fault. After being closed for about 40 minutes, metro rail movement from Pallabi station to Motijheel started, and later from 2:50 pm, metro rail movement on the Uttara-Motijheel route became normal.
In addition, he also said that the power supply of the signal system is from two transformers, one of which had a problem.
Before this incident, metro rail movement was disrupted after 1:15 pm. Then the passengers could not get on the platform. In the morning, there was a lot of passenger pressure on the occasion of the Dhaka University admission test, due to which some problems were created in the metro rail movement. Due to the excessive passenger pressure, the metro rail movement was stopped from 9:40 am to 10 minutes as the metro rail doors did not close properly, but it was normalized later.
Later, the metro rail movement from Uttara to Motijheel became normal again from 2:50 pm.
