BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has returned to her son's house after 17 days of treatment in the hospital. She will receive further treatment at Tarique Rahman's house in the UK.
Tarique Rahman took her home at 9:30 pm London local time and 3:30 am Bangladesh time on Friday. Khaleda Zia's personal physician Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain confirmed the matter.
Dr. Zahid Hossain said that Khaleda Zia will receive treatment at home and will be under her round-the-clock supervision by Professor Patrick Kennedy and Jennifer Cross.
He also said that no final decision has been taken yet regarding the liver transplant. Age and lack of access to treatment in the past are now being considered. However, Khaleda Zia's current treatment is being done through medication, which includes various diseases including liver, kidney, heart, diabetes, blood pressure and rheumatoid arthritis.
In addition, the medical team from Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States has participated in Khaleda Zia's treatment plan.
