The opening ceremony of the 23rd Dhaka International Film Festival was held with a grand ceremony. The presence of young presenter Sadia Rashni Shochana lit up the event. She has become an integral part of the festival since the 20th edition. Her fluent presentation and clear pronunciation have made her a favorite at various events in the country and abroad.
The experience of sharing the stage with world-renowned filmmaker Majid Majidi, Upper Bengal star Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Sharmila Tagore, Srilekha Mitra and other luminaries is a significant achievement in Shochana's professional life.
Her public awareness work as a national consultant to the United Nations and hosting the acclaimed 'Walk the Talk' podcast are a reflection of Shochana's multi-dimensional skills. In addition, she has established herself further through her work in advertisements for Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui and Apan Ahsan.
After graduating, Shukla's journey as a professional presenter began in 2021. She has cemented her place through tireless work and aesthetic presentation.
This year's Dhaka International Film Festival will screen 203 films from 75 countries, including Bangladesh. The festival has been organized with the slogan 'Aesthetic Films, Contemplative Viewers, Enlightened Society' in mind. 44 films from Bangladesh will be screened in various sections, including the retrospective section. This festival is organized under the auspices of the Rainbow Film Society, established in 1977.
Filmmakers, actors, and intellectuals from different countries of the world will be present in this 9-day festival. For film lovers, this festival is not only a platform for entertainment, but also for enjoying cultural diversity.
