BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made this comment at a prayer meeting organized at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Monday morning. The prayer meeting was organized to pray for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, and was organized by the Nationalist Rickshaw-Van-Autorickshaw Drivers' Workers' Party.
He said that Sheikh Hasina provided various facilities to India from 2010 to 2023, due to which India has done various unequal things. He alleged that India has fenced 160 places on the Bangladesh border instead of doing the work that should have been done based on the discussions between the two independent countries.
He also said that more than 3,000 kilometers of barbed wire has been fenced out of the 4,600-kilometer border, which has been done ignoring international rules, agreements between the two countries, and discussions.
Rizvi said, "Sheikh Hasina has treated India like a slave and weakened the country's sovereignty." He accused Sheikh Hasina of working for Indian interests.
In addition, Rizvi recalled the role, sacrifice and heroism of rickshaw-van-autorickshaw drivers in the student-people's revolution and reiterated their commitment to BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman to stand by them.
