The injured people seized the car of Noorjahan Begum, adviser to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, for not visiting the injured people of the July Movement who came to the National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute (NITOR) for treatment. At one point the injured got angry and climbed on top of the adviser's car.
Such an incident took place in front of the emergency department of Netore at 1:15 on Wednesday (November 13).
It can be seen at the scene, at around 11:30 AM British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cook and Health and Family Welfare Ministry Advisor Noorjahan Begum came to visit Netor. They spent more than an hour exploring the male ward on the fourth floor when they wanted to leave. They expressed anger at not visiting the injured in the three-floor ward and came down and blocked a Health Ministry vehicle.
Someone sat in front of the car. Another climbed onto the roof of the car and shouted at the driver to get down. Later, the health adviser and the British ambassador escaped in another car. Later, the injured blocked the vehicle of the Ministry of Health and a police vehicle on protocol and took position on the road.
Injured students. Hasan told Morenews, we have 48 injured people in one ward. But they have brought some foreign journalists of their choice. We did not allow any journalist to enter inside. They talked to some people and left. But did not talk to us. When we want to speak, we are interrupted. We have been sitting for three months with little treatment. After nine operations on my leg, I still haven't recovered. Our operation only takes so much. We want them to talk to us. One lakh rupees declared for us and good quality treatment.
