1418 cases for violation of traffic law, fine 59 lakhs

The traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 1,418 cases and fined Tk 59,400 for violating traffic laws in various areas of the capital.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman of Media and Public Relations Department of DMP confirmed this information on Thursday (November 7).
He said that a fine of 59 lakh 4 thousand taka has been conducted against traffic law violators in different areas of the capital. In this regard, 1418 cases have been filed by the traffic department of DMP.
Also, 107 cars were dumped and 73 cars wrecked during the operation.
On Wednesday, the traffic department of DMP conducted an operation and fined these cases. The operations of DMP's traffic department will continue to maintain traffic order in Dhaka metropolitan area.
