Thunderstorm forecast in eight regions: Bangladesh Meteorological Department

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms with gusty winds in eight regions of the country by this evening. The agency has asked the river ports of these regions to show the number one warning signal. This information was given in the forecast for the inland river ports of the country till 6 pm on Sunday (October 06).
According to the Meteorological Office, temporary gusty winds with rain/thundershowers with a speed of 45-60 kmph from south/south-west direction may occur over Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur, Bogra, Tangail, Khulna, Barisal and Mymensingh areas by 6 pm. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, another weather forecast said about the low pressure, the low pressure located in the North Bay of Bengal and the adjacent coastal areas of Bangladesh became insignificant and aligned with the monsoon axis. And the extension of monsoon axis extends through Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay of Bengal.
