A police constable named Ashraf Ali was injured with a sharp weapon while on duty at Jatrabari police station in the capital. This incident happened on Friday night around 9:30.
Later, he was rescued and brought to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 11 pm.
Masud Alam, sub-inspector of police outpost of DMK Hospital, said that traffic policeman Ashraf Ali was seriously injured by miscreants from behind when he was on duty at the Jatrabari junction. Later, he was rescued and brought to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a bloody state. He is currently in the operation theatre. After the incident, senior police officials came to the hospital.
