Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defense Brigadier General. The family alleged that a firefighter named Abdul Hannan was picked up for trying to protest the corruption and irregularities of Main Uddin.
According to the victim's family, firefighter Abdul Hannan was picked up by Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) on his way back from the fire service headquarters on Tuesday (September 10) evening.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed from the DB that Abdul Hannan has been arrested in a specific case.
Hannan's wife Fatema Khandkar Naureen complained to reporters after coming to the DB office on Minto Road in the capital on Wednesday (September 11) in search of her husband with her two children.
He said, my husband Abdul Hannan came to the fire service headquarters yesterday. I can't find him since then. Hannan called me at around 11 last night and told me that I am in DB. Come and pick me up tomorrow (Wednesday) around 11 o'clock. But after coming to DB today, they said that no one arrested Hannan. Hannan's crime has protested the Tk 200 crore corruption of Brigadier General Main Uddin, Director General of Fire.
Noreen also said, I demand the resignation of this DG. I have two small children. what do i do now
She claims that her husband is missing. Because he protested against injustice.
Noreen, the wife of the missing firefighter, also said, "My husband was fired from his job for protesting against the irregularities." Later again told my husband to come to the headquarters to apply. He was picked up by the DB after he left HQ. Till now I have no trace of my husband.

Meanwhile, firefighter Abdul Hannan's wife and colleagues came in front of the DB office in front of fire service wire house inspector Rezaye Rabbi. He said, 13 years ago I and missing Hannan joined the fire service. He is my batchmate.
The rabbi himself claimed to be a victim of harassment and said that the two brothers of the director general of the fire service, Anis and Salahuddin, have been traveling around the country doing various irregularities in the transfer and tender trade and the purchase of goods. The fire service officials were repeatedly transferred if money was not paid to this syndicate. I was transferred five times in the last two years and 10 months due to non-payment. I did not seek remedy against such harassment. Later, when I applied to the secretary of the ministry, he ordered me not to harass. But that too was not accepted. I have also filed a writ in court to stop the harassment. This writ is ongoing.
When asked about this, DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallick told Morenews that he has been arrested and sent to court on specific charges and cases.
