Pirgacha of Rangpur has become hot due to counter cases and programs of students and BNP leaders. The Peergacha Bazar Shop Owners Association has called for an all-out strike on Monday (September 9) from 6 am to 1 pm to demand the withdrawal of the case filed against upazila BNP convener Aminul Islam Rangar.
Meanwhile, on Sunday (September 8) afternoon, a protest rally was held demanding the withdrawal of the case filed against upazila BNP convener Aminul Islam Rangar. The Pirgacha Bazar Shop Owners Traders Association expressed solidarity with the rally and called for an all-out hartal from 6 am to 1 pm on Monday demanding the withdrawal of the false case against Ranga.
Earlier, upazila BNP convenor Aminul Islam Ranga filed a case against 22 people on charges of attack and vandalism at the office of Pirgacha Bazar Shop Owners Association. Enraged by this, the anti-discrimination students held a protest rally. They staged a sit-in on Saturday demanding Ranga's resignation and withdrawal of the case. Later, a case was filed against upazila BNP convenor Aminul Islam Ranga in connection with firing at the victory procession of students.
Earlier on Saturday night, the case was filed in the name of BNP convenor by the injured student Ekramul Haque. A day before this, the upazila BNP convener Aminul Islam Ranga filed a case in the name of 22 students on Friday. Officer-in-charge (OC) Sushant Kumar Sarkar of Pirgacha police station confirmed the two cases.
In the student-mob case, they were accused of obstructing and firing at victory processions armed with batons and indigenous weapons. In addition to BNP leader Aminul Islam Ranga, 15-20 unidentified people have been accused.
Plaintiff Ekramul Haque mentioned in the statement of the case that there was a peaceful program of students and people in Pirgacha Upazila of Rangpur like the rest of the country in the anti-discrimination student movement on August 5. At around 2.30 pm that day, dictator former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country to India. After learning this news, the students took out a victory procession. The procession proceeded from Pirgacha Government College to Pirgacha J.N Model High School. At that time, when the accused Aminul Islam Ranga arrived in front of the Union Parishad, he fired four rounds at the victory procession to protect the personal office of his uncle, Upazila Awami League General Secretary and Upazila Chairman Abdullah Al Mahmud Milon. Plaintiff immediately fell on the ground and the bullet hit his left hand and he bled profusely.
On this day, 15-20 unidentified people with sticks and weapons obstructed the joyous march of the students. Ignoring that obstacle, when the students tried to proceed with the procession, BNP leader Aminul Islam Ranga, along with unidentified persons, threw bricks at the students and many were injured. Fear dispersed and many lay down on the ground to save their lives during the firing. The shooting of the BNP leader in the victory march of the students was revealed in various media.
Plaintiff Ekramul Haque said that after the incident that day, he took treatment at the local upazila health complex. Due to the unstable situation in the country, the filing of the declaration has been delayed. However, as the law and order situation is normal at present, he has filed a case in the name of 15-20 unknown people including the BNP leader.
Meanwhile, upazila BNP convenor Aminul Islam Ranga filed a case on behalf of 22 students who participated in the anti-discrimination student-public movement last Friday night. In protest of this case, the angry students held a sit-in program along with a protest on the road in front of Pirgacha police station from Saturday afternoon to 9 pm.
According to the statement of the case made by the BNP leader, after the victory at the office of Pirgacha Bazar Shop Owners Traders Association on Monday, August 5, around 4 pm, the students broke the lock of the office of Pirgacha Bazar Shop Owners Traders Association with iron rods, hockey sticks, iron pipes, Chinese axes, hasua. . After that, glass glasses of 15 thousand rupees, tables, 40 chairs worth 35 thousand rupees, 32 CC cameras worth 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees were attacked. A case was filed against 22 students including Rabbani alias Babu, Shamim Mia, Antar Mia, Shakeel Mia, Jewel Mia and Shaheen Mia in the Pirgacha police station on Friday.
