Due to the conflict in Myanmar, Rohingya infiltration has started again through various border points of Cox's Bazar's Teknaf. About 500 Rohingyas entered through various points on Saturday (September 7).
Residents of the Teknaf border area said that the conflict between the rebel Arakan Army and the country's armed forces in Myanmar's Rakhine state has intensified since last November. Almost every day the sound of gunfire is coming from the other side.
Amid the ongoing conflict, the Rohingyas are re-entering Bangladesh by crossing the Nafnadi, avoiding the eyes of the security forces at the border. Later they are going to various Rohingya camps in Ukhia-Teknaf.
In addition, at least 40,000 Rohingyas are waiting to enter Bangladesh in Manipara, Sikdarpara and Airpara areas of Mangdu in Myanmar, said the concerned. Locals say that more than 10,000 Rohingyas have entered Bangladesh in the last one month
