Rescue operation of the forest land occupied by Hasan Mahmud's brother is underway
Former foreign minister and Awami League joint secretary. Chittagong South Forest Division recovered 200 acres of forest land owned by Hasan Mahmud's brother Ershad Mahmud. Soon after the Awami League government came to power 16 years ago, this forest land was taken over in the name of buffalo rearing.

From August 26 to August 29, these forest lands were recovered in Sukhbilas village of Padua Union of Rangunia Upazila of Chittagong, Dudhpukuria Range and Khurushia Range of Padua Union.
According to the sources of the Forest Department, since 2009, elder brother Dr. Under the influence of Hasan Mahmud, Ershad Mahmud began to occupy everything from mountains to reservoirs and plains owned by the forest department. Where he built various establishments including tourist centers, bungalows, gardens, cow and cow farms.
