The anti-discrimination student movement has demanded the trial of Sheikh Hasina by filing a case at the International Criminal Tribunal for her involvement in the killing of hundreds of students in the quota reform movement and mass uprising.
Hasnat Abdullah, one of the coordinators of the organization, made this demand at a rally organized to demand the trial of Sheikh Hasina and stop the politics of occupation on the campus at the foot of anti-terrorist Raju sculpture in Dhaka University area on Monday (August 12) afternoon.
Hasnat Abdullah said, we have, had and will have cordial relations with the media. Media also has a significant contribution in this coup. But some media wants to rehabilitate Hasina. The students will not let that happen in any way. Our main demand is to ensure justice by filing a case in the international tribunal with Hasina as the main accused.
Addressing the advisers of the interim government, he said, you have become advisers through the mass uprising of the students. So before giving your speech remember the picture of Ganabhaban on August 5. Warning about rehabilitating murderers, it won't take long to bring down those who try to rehabilitate tyranny, just as we removed dictatorships from power.
Regarding the politics of occupation in the campus, Hasnat Abdullah said that our struggle was against the occupation of the terrorist Chhatra League in the campus. The politics of that occupation will not be allowed to rehabilitate. The campus should be kept free from student politics.
Another coordinator Sarjis Alam said, We have come today to warn you about something. After we ousted the dictatorship from the country on 5th August some nefarious circles were trying to cue from the 5th. We suppressed the student-knowing.
He said, after that, when I tried to make a judicial queue last time, I was able to stop it due to your tireless work A faction is still plotting to sabotage our revolution. We the students will not let their plans succeed. At that time, he demanded the highest trial of Sheikh Hasina in the International Criminal Tribunal.
Akhtar Hossain, the former social service affairs secretary of Daksu, said, "We will stop all the conspiracies of Hasina with all our strength." Awami League defeated power is drawing various strategies. We the students will not let the 15th August QU plan succeed in any way.
