Generation Alpha students have taken to the streets in Uttar Pradesh, India, demanding the construction of a new school building. Students from Bhatpurwa Samuhi village on the banks of the Yamuna river in the state took a stand in front of the school demanding the construction of a school building that has been pending for a long time.

The students protested outside the school instead of entering it. They claim that they will not return to the classroom until a concerned official comes and assures them of the construction of a new building.

The students allege that the matter of the construction of the school building has already been reported to the concerned officials. Although the matter has been reported online several times, no visible action has been taken so far.

The school's headmistress Priyanka Tiwari repeatedly requested the students to return to the classroom. However, the students remained steadfast in their position. During the protest, many students were also seen holding the Indian national flag.

The incident has come to light as a notable example of direct protest by children demanding basic school infrastructure.

Earlier, in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, about 300 students walked 6 km to the district collector's office demanding a proper road to school. In Lucknow, about 250 students protested demanding teacher shortage and basic amenities.

In Unnao district, the report mentioned that more than 200 students blocked the Mohan-Bangarmau road by sitting on the road.

After Generation Z, Generation Alpha students in Uttar Pradesh are now also directly protesting demanding their rights, education and necessary amenities. Their programs are bringing the fundamental problems of school infrastructure and education system into the spotlight again.
