Saudi Crown Prince Calls Trump Over US Attack on Iran

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has had an urgent phone call with US President Donald Trump over news of a possible US military operation on Iranian soil. He expressed his fear that Washington's move could lead to new extreme instability in the entire Middle East. This information was highlighted in a special report by the US media outlet Axios.
The report quoted relevant sources as saying that the Trump administration was planning a strong military attack on Tehran's energy sector in the context of the recent Iranian missile attack on a US military base in Jordan and the obstruction of shipping in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
Although President Donald Trump has not yet given any final orders. Initially, there was a plan for this attack on Sunday, but it was temporarily suspended at the last minute. However, it is known that the White House has not completely canceled this plan.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, the Saudi Crown Prince expressed deep concern about the US action in his discussions with Trump. He called for a diplomatic solution to the crisis rather than increasing military tensions in the region. At the same time, Riyadh has sought detailed information about the reasons behind the Pentagon's tough plan.
On the other hand, Tehran has made it clear that any aggression against them will result in a severe counterattack on the energy infrastructure and strategic bases of Israel and the Gulf countries in the Middle East.
The White House and the Saudi embassy in Washington were contacted for an official statement on the matter, but no comment was received from them.
