‘If I hadn’t been there, you would have gone to jail’ – Trump’s stern warning to Netanyahu

The media claimed that tensions had built up in a recent phone call between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The report said that Trump expressed his anger at Netanyahu due to disagreements on the Lebanon and Iran issues.
According to media reports, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with the plan for a possible Israeli attack on the Lebanese capital Beirut. He warned Netanyahu that such a move could further destabilize the situation in the Middle East and isolate Israel in the international arena.
The report also said that the Lebanon crisis has become a major obstacle in the US’s diplomatic efforts on a possible deal with Iran. Iran has indicated that progress in the talks will be difficult if the attacks on Lebanon continue.
It has been claimed that at one point in the phone call, Trump harshly criticized Netanyahu and questioned his various decisions. However, there has been no official comment from the US or Israeli governments on the matter.
According to analysts, while Trump and Netanyahu's relationship is generally known to be close, differences between the two leaders on Iran and regional security issues are becoming increasingly clear. This recent incident is also seen as a new indication of that tension.
