Hezbollah rocket attack on Israeli troops from southern Lebanon

The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has launched a new rocket attack on Israeli troops stationed in southern Lebanon. The Israeli media outlet The Times of Israel reported the attack on Wednesday (May 13).
The Israeli army claims that the rockets fired came close to the soldiers' positions, but there were no casualties. However, security alerts were issued in various areas along the border immediately after the attack.
The rocket attack caused warning sirens to sound in the illegal Israeli settlement of Zari near the border. This spread panic among local residents and many are reported to have fled to safe havens.
According to analysts, the ongoing tension on the southern Lebanese border has raised the risk of a further escalation of the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. In recent weeks, the two sides have been exchanging attacks, increasing instability throughout the region.
