Israel Defense Forces conducted overnight raids in several areas of the occupied West Bank. According to Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces entered the areas of Zorat al-Sham’a, Wadi al-Nis and Umm Salmuna on Monday (May 4) night and searched several Palestinian homes.
The report also said that similar raids were conducted in several villages and towns west of Ramallah. However, no casualties or arrests have been reported in these raids so far.
On the other hand, the Israeli army has ordered residents of two towns in southern Lebanon to leave the area. The IDF has asked residents of the areas of Jabshit and Sarafand to evacuate immediately.
The instructions state that residents of the areas concerned should take shelter at least 1,000 meters away from open areas. The Israeli military claims that it can be risky to be around areas where Hezbollah's presence, infrastructure or military activities are suspected.
