Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has told US President Donald Trump that it is not the US's responsibility to launch a military operation against a smuggling ring inside Pakistan. He warned that there is no effective military solution to such a move.
In a post on social media on Monday (May 4), Khamenei said that US interference in Pakistan's internal affairs is unacceptable. According to him, such a move could further complicate the situation and increase regional instability.
He also said that if the US conducts such an operation, the consequences will be negative and tensions will increase.
Khamenei stressed that regional crises should be resolved through diplomatic means, not through the use of military force.
