Lebanese armed group Hezbollah claimed to have carried out multiple attacks on various positions of the Israel Defense Forces in the southern part of the country. In a statement issued on Friday, the group said that the attacks were carried out targeting Israeli troops and military vehicles in several important areas near the border.
The statement said that artillery fire was fired on troops stationed near the Musa Abbas Complex in the Bint Jbeil area and the village of Houla. It also mentioned attacks using explosive-laden diving drones in the Beiyada area.
The group also claimed to have hit similar targets in the Adshit al-Qusayr area. According to their statement, various types of weapons were used in these attacks targeting military gatherings and military vehicles.
Hezbollah also said that in the final phase of the operations, coordinated suicide drone attacks targeted Israeli troops and vehicles in the Beiyada area. It also reported drone strikes targeting a military Hummer vehicle in the Taybeh area and a Merkava tank in the Rishaf area.
However, there was no immediate response from the Israel Defense Forces to these attacks.
