Powers, a drone manufacturer backed by the Trump family, has signed a major contract to supply drones to the US armed forces. The company's founder, Brett Velicovich, confirmed this information, citing a report by the international media Bloomberg.
It is reported that the US Air Force has agreed to purchase interceptor drones from this Florida-based company. However, the exact number of drones to be purchased has not yet been disclosed.
Founder Brett Velicovich said in a post on the social media X that this contract will play an important role in establishing US dominance in drone technology. He noted that currently, relatively low-cost drones are challenging many expensive defense systems, which has created a new reality on the battlefield.
He also said that although the US has fallen behind somewhat due to the rapidly changing economy of modern warfare, this new technology will change that situation. The main goal of this initiative is to protect the lives of US citizens and soldiers.
