Iran has claimed that it has launched a drone attack targeting a US military ship in the Sea of Oman, which has created new tensions in the Middle East.
Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that US forces opened fire on an Iranian merchant ship. In response, Iranian forces launched drone attacks on several US warships stationed in the Sea of Oman.
The report said that this attack is being seen as a direct response to the US operation. However, no details were given about how many drones were used in the attack or whether any damage was caused.
There has been no official response from the US to this incident so far. As a result, the haze and tension surrounding the incident are increasing. Those concerned fear that if this situation is not brought under control, it could turn into a major military conflict.
