Who is Trump talking about Iran's nuclear power?: Pezeshkian

President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly criticized the US position on Iran's nuclear program. He said that US President Donald Trump has no legitimacy to curtail Iran's right to acquire nuclear power.
According to a report by Qatar-based media Al Jazeera and Iranian Student News Agency on Sunday (April 19), Pezeshkian raised the question and said, "Trump claims that Iran will not be able to exercise its nuclear rights. But he does not explain - for what crime is this right being taken away? Who is he to take away the rights of an independent nation?"
The Iranian president made these comments in the context of the long-standing dispute between Iran and the United States over the nuclear issue and the recent tensions.
Earlier on Saturday (April 18), Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said in several messages that the country's 'valiant navy' is ready to inflict a new 'bitter defeat' on its enemies. In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he also claimed that Iran's armed forces had successfully resisted "the conspiracies of the United States, the successors of the Pahlavi regime, and separatist forces."
Analysts believe that diplomatic tensions between the two countries over the nuclear issue are reaching new levels, which could also affect regional stability.
