Iran has directly rejected US President Donald Trump's 48-hour ultimatum to open the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, Tehran has also issued a stern response to Washington's threat.

Iran's Central Military Headquarters, Khatam al-Anbia, said in a statement that Trump's threat is a "helpless, disoriented and unbalanced behavior." The organization's senior official, General Ali Abdullahi Ali Abadi, said that such statements are making the situation even more heated.

Earlier, Trump warned that "hell will descend" on Iran if the Hormuz Strait is not opened within the specified time. He reiterated the same message on his social media.

However, Iran also took a tough stance in response. Ali Abadi countered by warning that if the United States takes such a step, the consequences will be dire and the situation will become more complicated.

In the current situation, tensions between the two countries have reached a new level. According to analysts, this counter-threat centered on the Strait of Hormuz could further widen the conflict in the Middle East.
