War not over, more than 3,000 targets still to be hit: Trump

US President Donald Trump has said that the ongoing military conflict with Iran is not over yet. Speaking at a conference in Miami, Florida on Friday (March 27), he said that at least 3,554 strategic targets inside Iran are still on the US attack list.
Trump made it clear that the future of the war will be decided only after these specific targets are hit. Although he had claimed victory in the war several times before, this time he admitted that the situation is not yet fully under the control of the US and Israel.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the war could end in the next few weeks. After the G-7 foreign ministers' meeting held in France, he said that the US is on track to achieve its set military goals.
Rubio also said that it is possible to win this war using airspace and modern technology without sending any ground forces to Iran. Air strikes and long-range missile strikes on Tehran have continued for the past month, causing heightened tensions in the Middle East.
According to international media, Washington is moving forward with a specific ‘target list’. With more than 3,000 targets still remaining, it is understood that a large part of Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure is still active.
According to analysts, the strategy of avoiding a ground operation aims to reduce potential losses for US troops. However, this stance of ‘continuing the war until the goal is achieved’ raises new questions about long-term stability in the Middle East.
Currently, this conflict between Washington and Tehran has created extreme tension in world politics. While on the one hand there is talk of ending the war quickly, on the other hand, plans to increase the scope of the attack are making the situation even more uncertain.
