Amid the tense situation in the Middle East, the international community is trying to take the initiative to conclude a new nuclear agreement between the United States and Iran. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is playing an important role in this regard.

The agency's Director General Rafael Grossi said on Friday (March 13) that the IAEA is trying to advance negotiations between Washington and Tehran to establish a new nuclear agreement. This information has emerged in international media reports.

According to a Reuters report, Grossi made this comment after meeting with Alexey Likhachev, head of Russia's state-owned nuclear agency Rosatom, during his visit to Moscow. Various issues related to Iran's nuclear program and international supervision were discussed at the meeting.

Grossi said that currently the IAEA's access to Iran's nuclear facilities is much reduced compared to before. As a result, the agency is unable to say for sure whether Iran is developing nuclear weapons or not. This situation has further increased international concern.

He expressed hope that if new talks with Tehran were to begin, the IAEA would be able to resume inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities. This would give the international community a clearer picture of the country's nuclear program.

According to analysts, a new nuclear agreement between the United States and Iran could play an important role in stabilizing the security situation in the Middle East. However, due to current geopolitical tensions, there is still uncertainty about how easy such an agreement would be to implement.
