Iran has claimed that some US soldiers have been detained. The country's National Security Council Secretary-General Ali Larijani made the announcement in a statement on Sunday.
He said that some US soldiers have been detained since the war began a week ago. However, he did not give a specific number about how many soldiers were detained.
In addition, this top Iranian official did not disclose any details about how and from where these US soldiers were detained.
Since the conflict between the US and Iran began on February 28, there has been no confirmed information about a US ground attack inside Iran. As a result, questions have been raised in various quarters about the exact circumstances under which the US soldiers were detained.
There has been no official response from the US on this issue so far.
