Israel has announced a new attack on Iran. Earlier on Tuesday, Tel Aviv claimed to have targeted the country's presidential palace and the residences of its top leadership. US President Donald Trump said, "Everything in Iran has been uprooted."

Washington claims that it has attacked more than 2,000 Iranian targets since the start of the operation on Saturday. On the other hand, in retaliation, Iran has launched missiles at US bases in various countries in the Middle East and at Israel. Six US soldiers were reportedly killed in these attacks.

Thousands of people have been reported to have died in the conflict as of Tuesday night. The US-based human rights organization Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) said that at least 1,097 civilians have been killed in Iran since February 28. The organization claimed that 181 of the dead were 10-year-old children.

The number of injured has also risen to 5,402, including nearly 100 children. HRANA said there have been at least 104 attacks in the past 24 hours alone, targeting military bases, medical centers and residential areas.

The ongoing attacks and counter-attacks are further complicating the situation in the Middle East and raising international concern over civilian casualties.
