On Saturday morning (February 28), Israel and the United States jointly carried out an attack targeting Iran. A large explosion occurred near the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Tehran. However, according to Iranian officials cited by Reuters, Khamenei was not in Tehran at the time and had been moved to a secure location.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing sounds like whistling in the sky during the explosion. Following the attack, Israel temporarily closed its airspace for security reasons. The country’s Ministry of Transportation advised the public not to visit airports until further notice and urged travelers abroad to stay updated with their airlines and media sources regarding flight schedules.

The Israeli National Security Council also warned citizens abroad to remain cautious. The ministry stated that the airspace would reopen once the security situation stabilizes, with at least 24 hours’ notice for new flights.

This incident has further heightened tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, drawing international concern and close monitoring of the situation.
