Fears of US attack on Iran, cancellation of several flights in the Middle East

After President Donald Trump's comments that a large US fleet is moving towards Iran, the fear of a possible US attack on the country has increased again. In this tense situation, several international airlines have canceled or suspended their flights to various destinations in the Middle East.
The Financial Times reported on Saturday (January 24) that Germany's Lufthansa, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Air France have announced a temporary suspension of flights to the Middle East.
According to the report, these decisions will cause major disruptions in air communication with Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Air France said in a statement that due to the current security situation in the Middle East, all its flights to Dubai on July 23 and 24 have been canceled.
On the other hand, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has indefinitely suspended flights to Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam in Saudi Arabia and Tel Aviv in Israel. The company has also decided to avoid the airspace of several countries in the Gulf region, including Iran, Iraq, and Israel.
Meanwhile, United Airlines and Air Canada have also suspended their flights to Israel due to fears that the United States may launch a military operation in Iran.
It is worth noting that when anti-government protests began in Iran in December last year, they turned violent. Iranian security forces have been cracking down hard to control the situation. Since then, US President Donald Trump has been warning that military strikes on Iran will be carried out if the killings and executions of protesters do not stop. Although he backed away from planning a possible attack last week, he has hinted at an attack again in recent days.
